Goals and Nature of Practice

The goal on Bronze is to make each swimmer the best SENIOR swimmer he/she can be.  The emphasis is on long-term development and not immediate success.  Swimmers will use part of each practice to execute stroke drills, but are expected to maintain good technique at all times.  Much of our training is aerobic (endurance) oriented and swimmers train in all strokes—there are not sprinters or stroke specialists at this level.  Good swimming requires self-discipline, responsibility and hard work and these characteristics are encouraged every day in practice.
