LESD PERSONAL BEST CHALLENGE MEET

A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this meet go smoothly.  First, a big thanks to the 85 LESD athletes who swam in the meet and their coaches for preparing them so well!  A very special thanks to the wonderful ladies of hospitality and concessions for keeping everyone well-fed: Denise Coughlin, Julie Menzer, Lisa Koucheki, Twila Zinda, Agnes Lane, Pam Bozsvai, and Bonnie Lingafelter.  Thanks to Maria Rimmerman for being safety director for the entire day and to Kim Babbin for announcing during both sessions.  Thanks to our clerks of course for making sure our younger swimmers know where and when to go for their events: Jodi Marchewitz, Meri Halupnik, Melanie Gotlieb, and Wendy Wercion.  Thanks to our head timers: Greg Oznowich and Ginny Foster.  I’d also like to say thanks to the many parents who helped out by working as timers, runners, and lane marshals, or at admissions, computers, deck entry, posting, and awards.  Your commitment to the team makes all the difference in the world.  Thanks to swimmers who gave up a Sunday to help out: Liam Oznowich, Meggie Pernsteiner, and Emily Gudbranson.  And a thousand thanks to Marie Salibra for all her invaluable help in making sure there are no glitches.

                        Meet Director, Joon-Li Gudbranson

And special thanks to Joon-Li who took on the job of meet director and was a smashing success.
